I’m Shauntel!

Hi There! I’m Shauntel but you can call me Shaunie! If you have been following me and my blogging journey for some time now then you know that I first began blogging back in 2014 with Beautique’d.com. I’ve always had a knack and eye for style and thought that blogging could give me that creative outlet I was longing for outside of my 9-5. I landed on the name Beautique’d because I knew that beauty (outward & inward) and style (boutique) were 2 of the things I was really passionate about. I combined those 2 words and Beautique’d was born. While the name makes me cringe now, I share that story to say to you starting where you are right now doesn’t have to be perfect. There is room for change, and perfecting your craft along the way. Which brings me to my current name, Hey Shaunie! My years and experience within the blogging realm led me to do some introspective thinking on where I wanted to take my passion and love for fashion long term. Deep down I knew that a name change and re-brand was completely necessary in taking me to that next level. Hey Shaunie! will continue to be a destination of sharing the latest trends on a budget, life lately, beauty and home decor ideas. I’m excited to bring all of you creative and inspiring content which I hope will in turn give you confidence to look and feel your best as you walk in your own individual purpose.

As a fashion insider who currently works in Corporate retail by day, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a fashion buyer for one of the South’s largest retailers and currently have a role in Visual Merchandising. My experience and expertise within the industry have really given me a formal education surrounding my passion for all things fashion and style. Personal style doesn’t have to be this perfected formula or code you have to crack. It’s freedom in expressing who you are and how you feel. And, if we’re being honest that changes on the daily, monthly and yearly. It’s my hope that you come here to awaken your sense of personal style through inspiration and style tips.
