Hellooo March! March I think is one of my favorite months of the year besides December. I love the start of Spring with longer, sunny days, warm weather, refreshing my wardrobe with lots of pastel colors, and I’m definitely a fan of March Madness. So bring it on. I feel really good about the month ahead and have slowly started to transition my closet to Spring.

For me that means scoping out what the trends will be for the season, and how I will interpret them for myself. I love using resources like WhoWhatWear for inspiration and for a guide to what I will be adding to my closet. There are a couple of trends I’m looking forward to this Spring and I can’t wait to style them for you guys-

1.) Balloon Sleeve Blouses/Dresses- Lately, I’ve been really drawn to anything with a balloon sleeve. It’s the perfect amount of drama to add to any look and it’s not too in your face. I love details like that that are so small but create such a moment for any look. This one that I’m wearing here from the Target Who What Wear Collection is perfect for all of the seasons and the color is so dreamy.

2.) The Trench Coat- Spring is the perfect time of year to invest in a classic trench coat. Because of their lightweight fabrication, they make for a great layering piece during these transitional weather months of being cool in the morning and warming up in the afternoon. The classic trench normally comes in a Khaki color however I think it’s completely appropriate to add one in a beautiful, pastel Spring color. I just purchased a vinyl one from Nordstrom Rack in a pastel pink color and I can’t wait to share it with you guys next week on the blog for some inspiration on how to style a trench.

3.) Barely There Sandals- Strappy sandals started making their debut last Spring/Summer and the trend continues. I think it’s hilarious because I definitely owned a pair back in my middle school days. The basic shades to add to your wardrobe in this sleek shoe would be a camel, black and white. I’m still on the look out for a white pair and can’t wait to style them with a great pair of denim and cute top or with a fun dress.

xoxo,
