Happy New Year! I have had a bit of a slow start to the year and I would normally beat myself up about it however I have a new mindset in just letting things flow and not forcing anything.

It’s been nice to slowly get back into my creative swing. I really want this to be a place where women can come to feel inspired and in turn, empowered to live a confident life in style. With that thought process, I genuinely want the content that I put out to intentionally be centered around that goal.

So, in the spirit of new and with Spring just right around the corner (side note: ya girl isn’t here for these frigid temps) I’ll be sharing ways in which you can buy and wear pieces now & later on in the Spring/Summer months. One of the questions I’ve been asking myself recently before purchasing a piece is how much wear can I truly get out of this? Sustainability is such a relevant trend we are seeing in fashion right now and I’ve noticed myself paying more attention to the pieces I’ve been adding to my wardrobe. I’m tired of buying things that I get tired of after a couple of wears. So, you’ll definitely be seeing more of styling easy basics and alternating pieces styled different ways in an effort to not be as wasteful.

I bought this dress when I popped into H&M over the holidays to make a return (I can never leave without buying anything)- it was on clearance and the print immediately caught my eye. I knew it would be perfect for Spring/Summer styled with a blazer for work. A no brainer work to happy hour look. I recently saw one of my favorite influencers style a slip dress with a turtleneck underneath to create a look which could be worn right now and loved it.

A simple lightweight jersey turtleneck has quickly become one of my favorite basic staples- I have this one in a bunch of different neutral colors to be worn alone and layered up like I’ve styled here.

Is this slip dress trend one you’d be willing to try? I promise you’ll love it. They are so easy, breathable and on trend. Shop some of my faves below.

xoxo,
